Heirloom Preservation Charter
Silk Saree & Temple Jewellery Care Guide
Pure handloom silks and 24KT micro-gold finish jewellery are designed to last generations. Follow these master-weaver preservation guidelines.
1. Pure Kanchipuram Mulberry Silk Preservation
Silk Mark Certified Handloom FabricStorage & Wrapping
Always store your pattu saree wrapped in pure unbleached cotton muslin fabric. Avoid plastic zippered saree bags, which trap humidity and cause tested gold zari to darken.
Refolding Routine
Change the fold lines of your silk sarees every 4 to 6 months to prevent zari breakage along permanent crease lines. Air dry in the shade twice a year.
Dry Clean Only: Never machine wash, hand soak, or use household detergents on pure mulberry silks. Use professional dry cleaning only when necessary.
2. 24KT Micro-Gold Finish Temple Jewellery Care
Temple Nakshi, Kemp Stones & Antique Finishes- The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Put on your jewellery after applying perfume, hairspray, makeup, and lotions. Chemicals in fragrances erode the 24KT gold electroplating.
- Moisture Control: If exposed to perspiration during wedding festivities, gently wipe each piece with a soft dry cotton cloth before storing.
- Individual Velvet Pouch Storage: Store each choker, haram, and bangle in its designated padded velvet box to prevent stone scratching and chain tangling.
